About The Role

An opportunity has arisen during these fast paced and interesting times in retail for a Demand Planner to join our growing Supply Chain team. You will play a key role in being a part of the AO Supply Chain journey as we achieve our strategy of going from good to great to awesome. You will manage a category in our White Goods business whilst building and maintaining internal and external relationships that increases our availability and ultimately enhances our customer’s journey. You will develop & progress your skills with our internal systems, develop your knowledge of Supply Chain and will have the opportunity for progression in a fast paced and fun working environment.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Autonomy to run your own range within your category.

* Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to get the right information when we need it.
* Prepare Sales forecasts and plan intake according to seasonal peaks and promotional plans.
* Monitor sales and promotions to highlight variances where sales differ from the sales forecast & identify potential risks to inventory.

* Work closely with Trading and Commercial teams to mitigate those inventory risks, including managing the sell through of delisted products.
* Calculate an accurate sales forecast using appropriate methods - historical sales, market knowledge and input from Brands about products.
* Use your forecast to create a supply plan and manage the orderbook of inbound deliveries collaboratively with suppliers.
* Critically review of personal performance via various KPI's and being able to make the necessary planning/adjustments to meet these targets.
* Deliver insights to internal teams to support our planning and decision making processes.
* Be proactive and push for improvements to current processes.

A Few Things About You

  • Solid knowledge of German (not necessarily fluent)
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Competent on MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Confident, driven and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Organised with a high level of attention to detail
